MANY HUES OF PAIN

Pictorial carmine, Reddish brown or Pink?

A recreation of solitude, he was

Bit by bit, he broke me down

Even when I couldn’t erase him from my thoughts

Like a soft petal, he arrived with a rosy hue

And he explored the serenity of my affection

Desperation and desolation held me back

I couldn’t see beyond the physical

With him, old was new, and wrong was right

Just a kiss of lust_ I tasted the venom in his teeth

Oh, I can now see the gradient and texture of it

The reality was dragged too near from afar

The love and memories became ephemeral

Pain was the little village on the outskirts of his heart

a saga of unfathomable torment and sadness

With no ray of peace, he showed me many hues of pain
