Stupid Heart

Stupid Heart

In the enchanting town of Willowdale, where sunflowers bloomed in every colour of the rainbow and music filled the air, 17-year-old John lived a life filled with wonder. He spent his days attending Willowdale High, playing guitar in a local band, and exploring the surrounding woods with his best friends, Finn and Lily who had being with him since childhood.

John’s life was a symphony of laughter, adventure, and magic. However, amidst the harmony, a discordant note echoed within his heart. John had never been in love, and the thought of it both thrilled and terrified him.

That was until the day Emily transferred to Willowdale High. With her fiery spirit, quick wit, and infectious smile, she captivated John’s heart. They met in music class, bonding over their shared love of melody and lyrics.

As John and Emily spent more time together, their connection grew stronger and they became intimate. They’d sit together on the benches during lunch, watching the clouds roll by and sharing secrets. John’s friends, Finn and Lily, welcomed Emily with open arms, and the four of them formed an unbreakable bond and they all became gist partners.

But John’s “stupid heart” refused to cooperate. He tried to play it cool, hiding his true feelings from Emily but she already got attractive and clingy to him. He’d stumble over his words, blush at the most innocent comments, and find excuses to touch her hand “accidentally.”

Emily, oblivious to John’s internal turmoil, continued to shine her light, drawing him in with her warmth and kindness. As they explored the woods, had picnics by the river, and laughed together under the stars, John’s feelings deepened he couldn’t let go.

One fateful evening, as they sat on the hill overlooking Willowdale, John’s emotions boiled over. He was about confessing his feelings to Emily, his voice trembling like a leaf. Emily’s already became suspicious that she asked, him do you have anything to tell me. John response was uhr…emm.. I don’t have anything to say. After a gentle smile, Emily took his hand, saying, “I’ve been waiting for you to realize how I feel.” But if you hesitate, I will tell you how I felt in my heart. The whole scene was like a romance K-DRAMA a “SHE proposing to HE”

They had a first kiss under the starry sky was like a symphony of fireworks exploding in perfect harmony. John’s “stupid heart” finally found its rhythm, beating in perfect sync with Emily’s.

As Valentine’s Day approached, John planned the perfect surprise for Emily. He wrote a heartfelt song, filled with lyrics that spoke directly to her heart. He rehearsed the song with his band, and on Valentine’s Day, they performed it during lunch in the school courtyard.  Its titled Stupid Heart

Emily was overwhelmed with emotion as John sang directly to her. Tears of joy streaming down her face, she mouthed the words “I love you” to John. The crowd erupted in cheers and applause as John and Emily shared a tender kiss.

But, as the seasons changed, a new challenge emerged. Emily’s family announced they would be moving to a different city, forcing her to transfer schools. John’s world crumbled, and his “stupid heart” filled with doubt and fear.

As the distance grew, John and Emily struggled to maintain their connection. They’d talk on the phone, send letters, and share messages, but it wasn’t the same as being together. John’s doubts consumed him, and he began to pull away, afraid of losing Emily forever.

Emily, sensing the distance, tried to reassure John, but he was too caught up in his own fears. The once-harmonious symphony of their love began to falter, the notes discordant and uncertain.

In a desperate attempt to rekindle their connection, John planned a surprise visit to Emily’s new town. However, upon arrival, he discovered Emily had made new friends and was thriving in her new environment. John’s insecurities intensified, and he wondered if he was just a memory to Emily.

As they spent more time together, John’s doubts began to fade, replaced by a deeper understanding of Emily’s growth and resilience. But just as things seemed to be falling back into place, a new obstacle emerged.

Emily’s parents, concerned about the distance between their daughter and John, encouraged her to focus on her studies and explore new relationships. Emily, torn between her love for John and her parents’ wishes, began to question their future together.

John, sensing Emily’s uncertainty, felt his “stupid heart” shatter into a million pieces. He realized he had to make a choice: let Emily go and move on, or fight for their love and risk losing her forever.

In the end, John and Emily had a heart-wrenching conversation, leaving their future uncertain. As they said their goodbyes, John’s “stupid heart” ached with regret, doubt, and longing.

The story concludes with John and Emily separated, each lost in their own thoughts. The once-vibrant colours of Willowdale seemed dull and faded, and the music that once filled the air was now a distant memory.

But, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the town, John’s “stupid heart” begin to fade away to becoming stronger.
