Man,
The presumed likeness of
The Supreme Being
In a swift moment, fell
A fall that ascends
To heaven’s bother
As man bites the dust
Colored with bitterness,
Shame and nakedness,
Exiled afar off, from glorious Eden
An unexpected sojourn of him begins,
Shagged of despisal and toil
A swarm of outworn souls
Clad in outworn bliss,
And outworn cloaks
Make way into the outlandish world they crave
But can’t control.
Gnarled to the back of his teeth,
He evolves; life evolves.
His bones, his skin, his mind
Adapts, to survive
the dream he was born of
Before his first breath.
An eternal rest, awaits his wake,
If it breaks forth.
